25/12/99: Turkey for Xmas, 3 days to open Joe's presents (a couple of CDs from me, a tractor from L, a teddy bear from both of us, an activity centre from Mame, a ride-along horse from granny Anne, loads of other stuff. A tower of pots from Mike and Sian), Dinnerladies on TV.

Fri 31 Dec 1999 11:06:49: So: the last day of the year, the century, the millennium, and humanity if y2k turns out to be as big a problem as some would have us believe. Me, I suspect that we'll experience some disruption but nothing major - I hope! I've been saying for some time that I just don't know what will happen but the reality is that if no-one had done anything about fixing the bug there would be worldwide chaos, and so we have only the experts and governments to go by when they tell us that it's been dealt with. We'll see...
